Serpens Center for International Security (SCIS) is an independent Ukrainian think tank focused on defense and security issues. Its mission is to strengthen the approaches of Ukraine and its allies to shaping, building, and sustaining their own defense capabilities, as well as to promote the creation of new security alliances required by the 21st century. Operating throughout Ukraine, SCIS conducts research, implements programs, and builds partnerships that transform Ukraine’s hard-won defense experience into shared and sustainable Western security. Обов'язки

• conduct research and prepare analytical materials on defense, security, and innovation in the context of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States
• monitor technological developments and trends in the defense sectors of Ukraine and the United States, with a focus on battlefield innovations and frontline feedback
• collaborate with military units, innovation programs, and think tanks to collect data and refine strategic conclusions
• conduct end-to-end research on key defense and security topics, from defining research questions to preparing final publications
• identify and develop new research directions independently
• prepare clear, well-structured analytical materials for experts and policymakers
• contribute to the quality of the team's work through peer review and collaboration

Вимоги

• significant experience in analysis or research
• excellent written and spoken Ukrainian and English
• curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work independently
• experience working in the military or defense sector will be an advantage
• military service experience or veteran status will be an advantage
• basic skills in creating charts and graphs for analytical reports will be an advantage
• knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R) for working with defense-related datasets will be an advantage
