The Serpens Center for International Security (SCIS) is an independent Ukrainian think tank focused on defense and security issues. Its mission is to strengthen the approaches of Ukraine and its allies to the formation, development, and maintenance of their own defense capabilities, as well as to promote the creation of new security alliances required by the 21st century. Operating throughout Ukraine, SCIS conducts research, implements programs, and builds partnerships that transform Ukraine’s hard-won defense experience into shared and sustainable Western security.

Обов'язки

• establish and maintain working relationships with relevant government agencies, military structures, defense enterprises, and innovation programs
• ensure the analytics team has access to primary sources, including experts, military units, and sector facilities
• present publications and reports to government stakeholders and the expert community through briefings, presentations, and closed-door discussions
• organize meetings and build partnerships as part of the organization's events
• monitor legislative and policy initiatives in the defense and security sectors and report on developments relevant to the organization's work
• maintain stakeholder databases and partnership records
• represent SCIS at industry events in Ukraine and abroad

Вимоги

• practical experience in government relations, institutional relations, partnership development, or external relations within the defense, security, public administration, or international relations sectors
• established network of contacts within Ukrainian government and/or defense circles
• practical understanding of decision-making processes within Ukrainian government and military institutions
• fluency in Ukrainian and English, both written and spoken
• ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• independence, reliability, and the ability to build and maintain long-term institutional relationships
• military service experience or veteran status will be an advantage
• experience working in a think tank, international organization, or defense company will be an advantage
• experience collaborating with Western government institutions or expert organizations will be an advantage
