Specialist, Corruption Prevention (Corporate Governance)

The Basel Institute on Governance is an independent international organisation dedicated to promoting good governance and combating corruption worldwide. In Ukraine, the Institute works with public institutions and international partners to strengthen corporate governance, compliance and anti-corruption systems. The team is looking for a Specialist, Corruption Prevention to support the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine in implementing corporate governance reforms for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), with a focus on internal control, compliance and risk management.

Обов'язки

• conducting diagnostic assessments of internal control, internal audit, compliance and risk management systems in state-owned enterprises
• analysing governance frameworks and identifying regulatory, institutional and operational gaps
• providing analytical and advisory support for the development of legislative and regulatory reforms
• contributing to the design and implementation of corporate governance reform initiatives
• supporting the development and delivery of capacity-building programmes for supervisory boards
• preparing analytical reports, policy papers, legislative proposals and technical recommendations
• monitoring Ukrainian legislation and international best practices related to corporate governance, compliance and corruption prevention
• providing analytical and technical support to the Ministry and other project stakeholders
• participating in coordination meetings, workshops and consultations with public-sector partners

Вимоги

• university degree in Law, Public Administration, Political Science or a related field
• at least 5 years of professional experience in corporate governance, internal controls, compliance, corruption prevention or related areas
• proven experience drafting analytical reports, conducting research and preparing legislation or secondary legislation
• experience developing and implementing training and capacity-building strategies
• experience providing training or consulting in the corporate governance field
• strong research, analytical and coordination skills
• proficiency in MS Office
• native-level Ukrainian and excellent English
• experience in state-owned enterprises, private companies, leading law firms or audit firms will be an advantage
• experience serving as a Chief Audit Executive, Chief Compliance Officer or Chief Legal Officer will be an advantage
