The Serpens Center for International Security (SCIS) is an independent Ukrainian think tank focused on defense and security issues. Its mission is to strengthen the approaches of Ukraine and its allies to shaping, building, and sustaining their own defense capabilities, as well as to facilitate the creation of new security alliances required by the 21st century. Operating throughout Ukraine, SCIS conducts research, implements programs, and builds partnerships that transform Ukraine’s hard-won defense experience into shared and sustainable Western security.

Обов'язки

• lead and develop the analytics team by setting priorities, reviewing work, and ensuring the quality of publications
• build, improve, and oversee end-to-end analytical and research processes
• serve as the primary on-site point of contact in Kyiv in the absence of the Director of Analytics and coordinate closely with leadership in Los Angeles
• translate research questions into structured analytical projects and communicate findings to stakeholders

Вимоги

• practical and in-depth experience in analysis or research, including developing and implementing analytical or research processes
• proven experience managing analysts or similar research teams
• excellent written and spoken Ukrainian and English
• responsibility, self-organization, and adaptability
• military service experience or veteran status will be an advantage
• experience working in a think tank, defense company, or government agency will be an advantage
