International company operating in the renewable energy and power infrastructure sector is looking for a Deputy Country Head (Technical Engineering) to join its Ukrainian team.
This role is focused on technical leadership of renewable energy and power infrastructure projects, including development, construction, commissioning, operation, and optimization of energy assets. The successful candidate will act as a key technical representative of the company in Ukraine, working closely with executive management, contractors, regulators, utilities, and investors.

Technical Engineering & Project Delivery
supervise construction, commissioning, and operational activities of renewable energy assets, including solar power plants, substations, and associated infrastructure
monitor quality, timelines, technical compliance, and execution of EPC and O&M contractors throughout all project phases
conduct and support regular inspections and technical audits of power stations, substations, and construction sites
verify completed works, technical documentation, and acceptance certificates
supervise testing, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting programs for operational assets
monitor asset performance, uptime, KPIs, and operational efficiency
support grid connection activities and coordinate with utilities and transmission/distribution operators
ensure compliance with engineering standards, HSE requirements, project documentation, and technical regulations
inventory management and supervising of maintenance and service testing
coordinate spare parts inventory, maintenance planning, and technical reporting
Engineering Coordination & Technical Due Diligence
support technical due diligence for new development opportunities, acquisitions, and investment projects
assist in preparation of EPC tenders, technical scopes, contractor selection, and evaluation processes
supervise refurbishment and part procurement, installation
review technical documentation, engineering designs, construction schedules, and contractor deliverables
support project budgeting, forecasting, and technical risk assessment
provide technical recommendations to executive management regarding operational optimization and future development opportunities
make regular field trips to power stations
Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination
represent the company before technical authorities, utilities, regulators, municipalities, contractors, and industry stakeholders
coordinate technical interactions related to permitting, commissioning, grid integration, and operational compliance
support communications with lenders, investors, insurers, and technical advisors regarding project performance and engineering matters
participate in industry meetings, inspections, and technical negotiations when required
Reporting & Documentation
prepare regular technical, operational, and project progress reports for executive management
maintain project and operational documentation, engineering records, contracts, and technical libraries
support preparation of reports required by regulators, utilities, lenders, and internal stakeholders

degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related technical field
professional engineering qualification (PEng or equivalent) preferred
minimum Electricity Safety qualification on the level 4
minimum 7 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, substations, or utility infrastructure projects
proven experience supervising EPC, O&M, and construction contractors
strong technical understanding of medium-voltage electrical systems, substations, and renewable energy assets
experience with grid connection processes, commissioning, and operational support of power plants
experience in solar PV projects strongly preferred
electrical safety certification / electrical safety group qualification preferred
experience in managing a utility or solar power stations
experience in working with regulators, and government stakeholders
strong analytical, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills
ability to work independently in a dynamic project environment
ability to drive to power stations and manage power installations
english level B2 or higher
