The international non-profit organization Management Sciences for Health (MSH) implementing in Ukraine the USAID-supported Safe, Affordable and Effective Medicines for Ukrainians Activity (SAFEMed), is looking for a Communications Specialist.
The Communications Specialist takes part in developing communications strategies and plans, enhancing SAFEMed project’s communication tools, and implementing a variety of communications and change management initiatives.

Developing Communications Materials
assistance in the preparation of project-related communications materials
participation in events and preparation of communication materials before/after forums, conferences, and monitoring visits
preparation of visual communication materials, including slide presentations, infographics, certificates, banners, leaflets, slide decks, brochures, technical reports, factsheets, and relevant layouts and templates for project activities, in close consultation with project key technical advisors and project COP
adherence to the approved branding and marking plan, working with project staff to ensure all materials follow SAFEMed branding guidelines and keeping updated templates for all materials
visual setup of the SAFEMed monthly newsletter
conducting media monitoring
support for the design elements of social media campaigns
provision of support in coordinating communications projects for the MOH, NHSU, MPU, and SAFEMed
ensuring proper storage and organization of all communication resources and sharing across the project, including establishing and maintaining a clear structure for storing and processing organizational documents, as well as optimizing internal processes to enhance the team’s efficiency
updating relevant pages with current information (annual reports, quarterly reports, country postings) in collaboration with communications staff
translation of print communication materials from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English as needed
Coordinating Communication Activities
support in coordinating communications events for the MOH, NHSU, MPU, and SAFEMed
assistance in ensuring the desired level of visibility for SAFEMed activities
collaboration with communications vendors on an as-needed basis for the implementation of specific projects
preparation of press briefings and talking points for participants as needed
maintenance of an electronic file of all communication materials

bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in media or communications
experience in global health or development
knowledge of USAID branding and marking requirements
experience with email distribution platforms, preferably MailChimp
experience with communication through social media
proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop), Canva
excellent command of English and Ukrainian languages (oral and written)
copywriting and presentation skills
familiarity with social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
excellent oral and written communication skills
ability to analyze, process, and synthesize large amounts of information and data
