This job opportunity is with a new cultural and research institution created in Lviv to empower the Ukrainian intellectual vanguard and advance the knowledge about Ukraine worldwide in the long-term perspective. It aims to connect the initiatives documenting the war and facilitate international exchange through fellowships for authors, cultural practitioners, and academics from Ukraine and abroad. One of the co-founding institutions is Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), Vienna.
The organisation is looking for a professional, energetic, and mission-driven person. Deputy Director for Finance and Operations will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative operations of the organisation, including budget management, financial reporting, developing, monitoring, and maintaining best practices.

creation of the financial structures of the new institution
financial planning and financial oversight of the institution’s operations
development of internal procedures and regulations that support the institution’s mission
management of relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and other financial or technical service providers
management of agreements and contracts, including employment contracts
implementation of decisions from the Director and Board of Trustees
Вимоги
background in law, finance, economics, business, management or a similar major related to managing organisation's operations
more than 3 years of previous work experience in a management or team lead position in NGO, creative industries, media, or education
strong problem-solving skills, ability to make decisions
native-level communication and writing in Ukrainian and a deep understanding of the current context
Upper-intermediate (B2) or Advanced level of English (C1)
