    The USAID Mission to Ukraine (the Mission) is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of USAID-funded programs operating throughout Ukraine. The Mission provides assistance to promote Ukraine’s transition to a democratic, prosperous, stable, healthy country united in its European aspirations.
    This position provides critical driving and operational support to a large USAID Mission in Kyiv, Ukraine. In addition to possessing excellent defensive driving skills, the Job Holder must exercise good judgment in the daily performance of his/her duties and have a thorough knowledge of road systems, not only in capital cities but also in other destination points in the host country (and occasionally in neighboring countries as well).
 

Обов'язки

1. Transportation and Logistics (70%):

  • providing transportation services to USAID Mission employees and visitors, including VIPs, within the capital city and throughout the country
  • ensuring the assigned vehicle is clean, properly maintained, and in safe operating condition
  • assisting in planning logistics for field trips by researching destination points and sharing information, such as site descriptions, projected travel time, and road conditions, with Mission and security personnel
  • suggesting appropriate vehicles for trips, considering safety and logistical needs
  • coordinating with the Regional Security Office (RSO) to ensure trip safety and compliance with security procedures
  • selecting optimal routes to ensure passengers' safety
  • liaising with the Motor Pool and General Services Office (GSO) to schedule preventive maintenance and reporting vehicle malfunctions or other issues
  • maintaining a high level of security awareness to protect USG property and passengers
  • reviewing and adhering to post safety and security procedures established by RSO and GSO

2. Administrative and Clerical Support (20%):

  • performing basic administrative tasks, such as preparing documents, copying, shredding, scanning, and arranging conference room setups
  • escorting visitors and accepting deliveries as needed
  • handling equipment, supplies, furniture, and appliances, including loading, unloading, and performing minor assembly/disassembly
  • ensuring proper handling of all items and coordinating actions with ICASS providers (GSO, FAC, RSO)
  • providing other clerical and administrative support to the Executive Office as assigned

3. Recordkeeping and Reporting (10%):

  • maintaining the Daily Log of Vehicle Usage and assisting in the preparation of vehicle reports and inventories
  • reporting vehicular accidents immediately and completing required paperwork in accordance with Mission procedures
  • providing all necessary information to Police and the Insurance Company for investigations and reports
  • offering driving services on weekends and afterhours as required within the capital city and other locations
  • operating other official ICASS Motor Pool vehicles as needed

Вимоги

  • Education: сompletion of secondary school is required
  • Work Experience: a minimum of 3 years of experience driving a motor vehicle as a professional Chauffeur is required.  At least 1 year of progressive responsible experience in secretarial, clerical or administrative work is required
  • Language Proficiency: Level III English in reading, speaking, and writing as well as fluency in Ukrainian is required

  • full-time position (40 hours)

  • 5-year Period of Performance with possibility extension
  • market value: Basic Annual Rate (in U.S. Dollars): $14,620 - $19,006
  • benefits:
    • health and life insurance coverage: provided under the Compensation Plan
    • Defined Contribution Plan: upon separation, a lump sum benefit equal to 12% of the basic salary earned for the duration worked under the appointment
  • allowances (as applicable):
    • meal allowances: annual amount is $853 for employees working on a full-time basis
    • family allowances: the mission provides a child allowance. Grants amounts are subject to change as determined by the Ukrainian State Budget Law
    • unique conditions of work allowances/benefits: 10% of Basic Rate. Additional information may be provided to the selected offer or at the time of the salary offer
  • taxes: apply and are deductible as per the Ukrainian government regulations
