STARK is a European defense tech company operating across Germany, Ukraine, Sweden, the UK, and Greece, with a core R&D center in Ukraine. The company develops autonomous unmanned systems, including the Virtus loitering munition. Its approach is simple: Battlefield to Lab — direct feedback from military operators is rapidly translated into product improvements, without long feedback loops or unnecessary bureaucracy. The focus is on real-world validation and fast iteration. STARK is looking for people who are ready to build technological advantage with speed, ownership, and impact.

Обов'язки

  • review of flight logs immediately after flight tests to verify data quality and sensor health
  • correlation of log anomalies with physical and weather conditions to determine root causes (barometer error, motor desync, downdraft)
  • annotation of specific flight segments (e.g., automatic landing, EW jamming test, high-G turn) for structured analysis
  • filtering of noise, correction of timestamp alignment between sensors, removal of invalid data points before pipeline ingestion
  • development and maintenance of Python scripts for automated ingest and validation of field data
  • immediate reporting of critical failures to the engineering team directly from the field

Вимоги

  • experience analyzing flight logs (PX4, ArduPilot, or proprietary stacks)
  • strong understanding of UAV aerodynamics and control theory (PID loops, EKF)
  • proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib) for data processing
  • ability to work in field conditions (outdoors, laptop-based, variable weather)
  • knowledge of sensor physics (IMU, GNSS, magnetometers, pitot tubes)
  • experience with flight visualization tools (FlightPlot, PlotJuggler) will be an advantage
  • background in experimental physics or mechanical engineering will be an advantage
  • experience with SQL or time-series databases will be an advantage

Умови

  • location: Kyiv, Ukraine
  • official employment under Ukrainian legislation with the possibility of military reservation subject to applicable regulations
  • occasional business trips to European offices for knowledge exchange and collaboration with international teams
  • professional development through role-specific training and English language learning
