Our client is a fast-growing European deep-tech defense startup developing cost-effective, AI-powered hardware solutions for modern warfare. By combining cutting-edge artificial intelligence with robust engineering, the company empowers defense forces with reliable and scalable technologies that help protect lives and critical infrastructure in today’s increasingly complex battle space.

They are now looking for skilled and motivated Flight Testing & Operations Engineers to establish an independent UAV testing and operations branch in Ukraine.

Обов'язки

• contribute directly to field missions by conducting test flights and operational drone missions in the field
• play an active role in pre-flight planning, rigorous safety checks, and detailed post-flight reviews
• take over manual flight tasks as main pilot or monitor autonomous flights as safety pilot
• train other team members and partners on safe and effective operation of our UAV system
• collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide insights from flight testing that drive product improvements
• be prepared to travel to diverse test and mission sites, both domestically and internationally
• support flexible testing schedule, including night flights and flexible testing hours based on mission demands (1 time per 2-4 weeks)

Вимоги

• experienced drone operator, with FPV and/or fixed-wing flight experience
• strong proficiency in unmanned systems and real-world UAV mission execution (RF knowledge, piloting skills, batteries, mission understanding, flight modes, external guidance vs manual piloting the drone, sensors, actuators etc.)
• comfortable with tools, building and maintaining drones, and setup of ground control stations
• reliable and adaptable to rapidly changing environments
• able to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team during high-pressure scenarios
• willing and able to travel frequently, including occasional weekend or night deployments
• English B1 level
