Open Minds Institute (OMI) is a think & do tank fighting the impact of propaganda and cultivating open-mindedness to de-escalate geopolitical conflicts, with a current focus on Russo-Ukrainian war. OMI was established by a group of experts in the field of social and behavioral sciences, media, and IT. Recognizing the pervasive influence of Russian propaganda and disinformation over the past two decades, we decided to merge our knowledge and expertise to combat this issue. The Institute combines cutting-edge AI technologies with world-class analytical teams to delve into information threats, assess their influence, and formulate countermeasures.

Обов'язки

• design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for semantic search, sentiment analysis, text clustering, and text summarization tasks in Slavic (mainly Russian, Ukrainian) languages
• train and fine-tune large language models for Slavic (mainly Russian, Ukrainian) languages using transformer architectures like GPT, BERT, or RoBERTa
• extract and process social media data as a source for training and evaluating NLP models
• build and deploy semantic search systems, sentiment analysis models, text clustering algorithms, and text summarization tasks
• utilize techniques such as graph-based ranking, attention mechanisms, and sequence-to-sequence models for text summarization
• ensure scalability of ML models by leveraging cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Вимоги

• strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning techniques
• proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with ML libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras8
• in-depth knowledge of large language models, including transformer architectures like GPT, BERT, or RoBERTa
• familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP libraries and frameworks, such as Hugging Face
• experience in training and fine-tuning language models for Slavic languages; Solid understanding of contextual word embeddings and their applications in NLP tasks
• familiarity with data preprocessing techniques like tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, and named entity recognition
• strong understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts related to machine learning
• proficient in leveraging cloud computing platforms like GCP for ML model development and deployment
