The Basel Institute on Governance is an international and independent not-for-profit organisation working globally with the public and private sectors to counter corruption, financial crimes, and improve governance quality. The Institute operates globally, with headquarters in Basel and field operations worldwide. In Ukraine, the Basel Institute is engaged in various programmes, including asset recovery, compliance strengthening, and collaboration with Ukrainian civil society. These efforts have intensified since the war of aggression in early 2022.
The Programme Officer will support all Basel Institute programmes in Ukraine and provide essential project management, administrative, and logistical support to ensure effective programme implementation and liaison with the HQ team.

General Programmatic work:
supporting all programme operations and serving as primary support to programme management in the field
assisting in drafting reports, programme updates, work plans, and briefing materials
maintaining communication with programme partners and compiling briefing materials for programme staff and consultants
supporting knowledge management, including organising programme-related documents, and contributing to lessons learned
assisting with monitoring and evaluation of programme activities and collecting data for M&E purposes
facilitating coordination between technical and communications staff in maintaining liaison with programme partners and key actors
Administrative, logistical, and financial support:
formatting and editing documents, taking meeting notes, and processing expenses
supporting the logistical preparation of training programmes and events, including travel arrangements, hotel bookings, and technical support
preparing agendas, presentations, and meeting papers
maintaining databases of contacts for events
liaising with administrative and finance teams for project-related tasks
translating documents between English and Ukrainian, and providing verbal or written interpretation for meetings
Research support:
conducting technical research, validating and analysing data, and contributing to data visualisation
summarising research results and supporting research dissemination
Вимоги
university degree in business, law, political or social sciences, international relations, management, public policy, or related fields
at least 3 years of experience in programme or project management and implementation, preferably in an international environment
experience working with international donors or donor-funded programmes is an advantage
experience working with stakeholders in good governance, anti-corruption, and compliance is an advantage
excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
fluency in English and native Ukrainian (written and oral)
ability to work independently and remotely, with physical presence in Kyiv and occasional travel
proficiency in presentation software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
adaptability to a fast-changing environment
