Огляд

The position has two main components:

  • under the supervision of the Head of Programs, responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of OlamAid’s projects and programs implemented in cooperation with local partners

  • under the guidance of the Development Manager, responsible for developing a country strategy, identifying opportunities for further OlamAid engagement in accordance with its mandate and local needs, and initiating the development of new projects and programmes in cooperation with local partners

Обов'язки

  • programmatic control: cooperate with local partners, manage and oversee the project lifecycle from planning through implementation to reporting; monitor partner compliance with partnership/grant agreements
  • budget control: in collaboration with the Finance Department, monitor project budgets and ensure alignment with financial guidelines; oversee partner compliance
  • technical capacities: maintain basic technical knowledge of the aid methods used in the project; act as liaison between the project team/local partners and the Professional Department
  • participation in activities: contribute to the creation, participation and coordination of project activities as needed and guided by the Head of Programs
  • team coordination: coordinate project team to foster motivation and a collaborative, solutions-focused atmosphere
  • respectful work environment: ensure respectful interactions, especially in challenging situations
  • flexibility and empowerment: model adaptability and encourage initiative, innovation and resilience
  • values alignment: uphold and integrate core values of the organisation into team tasks and communication
  • professional and institutional connections: build and maintain relationships with donors, NGOs, UN agencies, government bodies and relevant actors
  • representation: take part in events, coordination platforms, NGO networks, and workshops
  • partnerships: identify potential new or additional partnerships for OlamAid in Ukraine and Germany
  • country strategy: in coordination with departments and senior management, develop an OlamAid strategy for Ukraine
  • project and programme development: identify new areas for engagement and initiate development of relevant projects/programmes in line with OlamAid’s mandate and Ukraine’s needs
  • funding opportunities: identify relevant funders and collaborate with the Development Department to acquire support
  • visibility: ensure visibility of OlamAid’s work in Ukraine; coordinate with Development Department to prepare social media and other communication materials

Вимоги

  • academic degree in international development, humanitarian studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or management in humanitarian, peacebuilding and/or development sectors
  • understanding of project management cycles, budgeting and technical aid delivery methods
  • experience in team coordination, creating collaborative environments
  • ability to travel frequently within Ukraine and periodically to Berlin HQ
  • strong representation, networking and partnership development skills; successful donor engagement record
  • entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to create innovative solutions for vulnerable populations
  • strong network among donors, NGOs, UN agencies, civil society, and government actors
  • excellent understanding of the Ukrainian context and vulnerable groups’ needs
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work independently and deliver results
  • native-level Ukrainian and excellent English; German is an advantage
  • registered economic activity confirmed by Extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individuals-Entrepreneurs, and Public Formations of Ukraine
