supporting Division of Global Health Protection activities for the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of assigned public health program activities and studies
developing annual program strategies, budgets, and drafting regular progress reports related to program activities
providing technical support, advice, and guidance, as well as day-to-day program and administrative management
coordinating and collaborating with colleagues from other agencies and public health entities administering similar public health programs in Ukraine
leading strategic public health activities as assigned
serving as the subject matter expert (SME) in technical areas, providing guidance and insight to the team
engaging with key stakeholders within and outside USG to ensure alignment and support for organizational goals and to identify opportunities for program improvements
coordinating funding, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and maintaining administrative records with implementing partners to ensure adherence to agreements and appropriate use of USG funds
utilizing technical public health knowledge, analytical skills, and advocacy to manage relationships with implementing partners, NGOs, and host country ministries involved in Global Health Security and Antimicrobial Resistance programs

doctoral-level degree (e.g., Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), Doctor of Medicine (MD), or host country equivalent) in medicine, public health, or epidemiology
at least 5 years of mid- to senior-level public health experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs or development assistance programs involving coordination with an international agency or implementing partner
fluent English (speaking, reading, writing)
fluent Ukrainian (speaking, reading, writing)
comprehensive knowledge of current public health issues in the host country
expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating general public health programs, including prevention, emergency response, care and treatment services, counseling and testing, interventions, and treatment
in-depth understanding of the host government's healthcare system, including MOH policies, program priorities, and regulations
strong team management, planning, organizational, and activity direction skills
excellent communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with global partners
ability to discuss, analyze, and innovate in program design, management, and implementation
proficiency in word processing, advanced spreadsheet use, and numerical data analysis
