Tech Team Lead (Technician)

The client is an emerging UAV startup, rapidly expanding to support the Ukrainian national needs with advanced drone technology. As a startup, they operate in a highly flexible environment where agility, adaptability, and a hands-on approach are critical for success.

The team is looking for someone who has leadership experience in a hands-on technical environment. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to supervise small-to-medium-sized technical teams, ideally within electromechanical assembly, UAV systems, or related hardware development. This includes coordinating day-to-day tasks, monitoring performance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and mentoring team members to improve productivity and technical proficiency.

• assemble electromechanical products, including mechanical assembly and electrical wiring or component installation
• conduct functional testing of electromechanical products to verify they operate according to specifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical tests)
• verify the integrity of electrical connections, wiring, and mechanical assemblies for proper functionality
• identify and troubleshoot issues with electromechanical systems (e.g., electrical components, motors, sensors, PCBA boards)
• program various types of electrical modules as part of standard product bring up process
• rework existing products and support various unexpected activities that arise in a dynamic environment

Вимоги

• 3+ years of experience building electro mechanical products
• previous experience in supervising teams and workers
• at least Upper-intermediate professional English
• proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, drills)
• basic understanding of electrical principles
• experience making cables and harnesses from scratch
• highly proficient in soldering precision electronic components
• basic computer skills
• comfortable with resets and changes in a fast-paced R&D environment
• excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• basic knowledge of Python and Bash scripting will be an advantage
• working knowledge of CAD software, SOLIDWORKS will be an advantage
• quality standards and corrective/preventative actions processes will be an advantage
