Established in 2022 amid escalating authoritarian threats, OpenMinds now spans 20 team members across 4 countries, trusted by NATO governments and leading research centers.  OpenMinds is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Expert (Russia) to join our interdisciplinary team. This role is vital for deepening our understanding of the Russian socio-political landscape, and crafting impactful communication strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a nuanced understanding of Russia’s political and social context, contributing to organisation's mission of countering propaganda. Through rigorous analysis and innovative research, you will help navigate the complexities of the region’s context, geopolitical dynamics and societal changes.

• conduct comprehensive analyses of the political and social context in Russia, identifying trends and key developments and write reports on your finding
• advise other departments to ensure that your insights inform our broader strategy and operations
• engage with a network of experts, including think tanks, academia, and international partners, to gather diverse perspectives and strengthen our analyses

Вимоги

• a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations or a related field
• deep knowledge of Russia’s political and social context, with an ability to analyse and predict its implications on global affairs
• a track record of publications on Russian affairs in respected academic journals or media outlets
• experience in designing policy recommendations, communication campaigns, or research projects
• exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
• proficiency in both English and Russian, enabling effective research and stakeholder engagement
