The Basel Institute on Governance is an international and independent not-for-profit organisation working globally with the public and private sectors to counter corruption, financial crimes, and improve governance quality.
This dynamic environment requires an expansion of Kyiv presence to support Ukrainian institutions with expertise in legal and compliance measures related to corruption prevention and business integrity. The (Senior) Specialist will implement, mentor, train, and provide policy advice, contributing to the development and execution of programs under the Basel Institute’s Ukraine portfolio. Flexibility in priorities and modes of working is essential, as they will evolve in collaboration with Kyiv- and headquarters-based teams.

Advisory work:
contribute to designing and implementing legal and compliance risk gap analyses and corruption risk assessments
provide inputs to anti-corruption plans and policies
co-design and conduct training and awareness-building events
support mentorship for anti-corruption and compliance officials
liaise with contractors and consultants on policy and research-related tasks
engage in relevant international projects as needed
Reporting:
prepare regular reports for government, civil society, and donors
Stakeholder engagement and fundraising:
represent the Basel Institute at coordination meetings and workshops
develop knowledge products, including blogs and publications
support fundraising efforts to broaden and extend engagements
Вимоги
university degree in law, public policy, or public administration
at least 3 years of experience in corruption prevention, risk management, or compliance
experience as an anti-corruption compliance specialist or in consulting on ethics/compliance is an advantage
experience working with government agencies or state-owned enterprises is an asset
proficiency in MS Office
fluency in Ukrainian and English (written and spoken)
strong analytical and coordination skills
