Alinea International has been contracted by the UK Government to establish a strategic communications support platform. This platform will support Ukraine's government communications activities and priorities by assembling top talent in a format designed to meet the increased public demand for transparent communication caused by Russia’s illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The expert will ensure all activities are delivered on time and are appropriately documented. S/he is expected to work closely with the Analytical Lead in Ukraine and participate in relevant project meetings.

Обов'язки

• contribution to the Research and Analysis team activities as directed by the Research and Analysis Team Lead
• participation in identifying appropriate research goals and requirements based on project needs
• proposal of a mix of research methods to address project goals and needs, following consultation with relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to:
  • audience segmentation and development of audience profiles based on socio-demographic, values, and behavioral characteristics
  • testing of narratives, messaging, calls to action (CTA), and products to support communication campaign design
  • identification of trends in public opinion and attitudes towards key issues
  • evaluation of strategic communications efficiency
  • design of terms of reference for internal and external research providers, including qualitative and quantitative research interventions
• review of incoming datasets, keynote reports, and other deliverables from internal and external research providers, ensuring quality assurance and control, and providing feedback in coordination with the Research and Analysis Team Lead
• monitoring, reviewing, collating, and managing multiple data reporting inputs to produce high-quality analytical reports based on end-user needs
  • planning and execution of data analysis using traditional (SPSS, R, Stata) and AI-driven software tools to identify key findings
  • collaboration with the broader team to produce thematic multi-source research reports, analytical notes, and other required products
  • contribution to project Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning through participation in learning sprints, reviewing related outputs/outcomes, identifying lessons, and developing parts of regular reporting

Вимоги

Education and Experience

• bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field, master’s degree is an advantage
• at least 7 years of experience in research design and implementation using mixed methodologies
• demonstrated experience working with broader research and analysis teams and research providers
• experience working in international teams is an advantage

Research and Analysis

• strong analytical skills and experience in interpreting data and identifying trends
• demonstrated experience in research project design and delivery
• proven experience in survey design, data analysis, and statistical modeling; experience with audience segmentation is an advantage
• proficiency in statistical analysis using software such as SPSS, Stata, and R
• experience in designing qualitative research, including but not limited to focus groups, interviews, and social media listening

Resilience and Contextual Knowledge

• ability to work at a high pace in a challenging context
• solid understanding of the complex socio-political environment in Ukraine
• experience working with international development organizations is an advantage
• strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in producing and delivering reports
• excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• experience working at or with sociological providers in Ukraine and internationally is an advantage
