The international non-profit organization Management Sciences for Health (MSH) implementing in Ukraine the USAID-supported Safe, Affordable and Effective Medicines for Ukrainians Activity (SAFEMed), is looking for a Manager / Team Lead for Communications and Knowledge Management.
The overall objective of the Communications Manager and Team Lead is to support the USAID SAFEMed project through planning, design, and implementation of all communication and knowledge management activities. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, SAFEMed’s Communication Manager will report to the Chief of Party and supervise two additional project staff based in Kyiv and remotely. In addition, the position will closely work with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and its health agencies to design, implement, and monitor targeted communications campaigns in support of the following: Institutionalization of Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Successful establishment of a unified medicines agency, Promotion of the newly created mobile pharmacy program, Campaign for patients’ rational use of prescribed medicines.

drive collaboration with project leadership, technical staff, USAID, MSH, and key stakeholders to develop and implement communications and knowledge management (KM) efforts in line with SAFEMed’s 2024-25 Communications Strategy and ongoing project priorities
contribute to donor reporting and liaises with donors and partners on communications activities
support staff in strengthening communications capacities
provide leadership to team interactions with donors and partners
Вимоги
degree in communications, journalism, public relations, social sciences, or related field
advanced degree in related and/or work experience in the health sector will be an advantage
at least 7 years of experience designing communications programs
at least 3 years managing teams
experience in technical writing and demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into easily digestible communication materials
documented experience in designing and evaluating successful communications campaigns
residence and ability to work in Kyiv
experience working with USAID-funded programs will be an advantage
network in Ukrainian media and familiarity with the media landscape will be an advantage
demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level colleagues, particularly interacting productively, proactively, and comfortably with government agencies, NGOs, private sector groups, USAID, and other donor organizations
strong interpersonal, analytical, and advocacy skills
ability to provide training and make presentations to various groups, including high-level government officials
skills and knowledge to write cogent technical reports, documents, and power points in English and Ukrainian
excellent spoken and written English and Ukrainian
