UAV Pilot (multirotor & fixed wing)

An international defense startup is seeking a UAV Pilot (multirotor & fixed-wing) with strong hands-on experience in configuring and operating ArduPilot. In this role, you will be responsible for full drone assembly, system tuning, and field operation in various weather conditions. You’ll work closely with the flight test, research, product, and data teams to ensure that our ML-driven systems perform reliably in real-world environments, including edge cases and edge-device scenarios. Your work will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our perception stack across multiple use cases and deployments.

• operate UAVs for various missions, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to maintain UAV performance and safety
• assist in mission planning, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures
• facilitate communication between test teams, pilots, and engineering to ensure seamless flight test operations
• assemble and repair drones if needed

Вимоги

• bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Engineering. Aviation Education will be a strong plus
• 3+ years of work experience with UAVs, with a strong focus on assembling and adjusting
• strong knowledge of UAV systems, flight dynamics, and airspace regulations
• piloting in a manual mode will be a strong plus
• strong knowledge of ArduPilot
• experience with setting up the RTK and similar features will be a strong plus
• upper-intermediate English or higher
• willingness to conduct field-testing (approx. 50% of the time)
• experience with Betaflight, Inav will be an advantage
• 3D modelling. Soldering skills will be an advantage
