Teach For Ukraine is a Ukrainian non-profit organization working in education to strengthen human capital for Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development. Since its establishment in 2017, TFU has addressed educational inequality by developing the next generation of leaders through education and supporting schools, teachers, and students in underserved communities.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022 triggered an immediate crisis in Ukraine’s education system, TFU has helped children continue learning while building a foundation for long-term systemic change. As part of the global Teach For All network, the organization connects Ukraine to a movement of educators, leaders, and innovators working toward educational equity in over 60 countries.

Vision, strategy, and leadership

• development, communication, and implementation of TFU’s long-term strategic vision
• expansion of educational access, improvement of learning outcomes, and strengthening of systemic impact
• development and strategic alignment of a diverse team
• support for professional growth and a culture of shared mission during organizational change
• development of the organization’s expert position on education policy, learning recovery, and leadership development in Ukraine
• strengthening of TFU’s influence at the national and international levels

Fundraising, partnerships, and advocacy

• leadership of TFU’s resource mobilization strategy in cooperation with the Head of Development
• securing of major funding from foundations, corporations, governments, and individual donors
• development and maintenance of strategic relationships with Ukrainian and international partners
• engagement with policymakers, donors, NGOs, and education networks
• cooperation with the Advisory Board on fundraising, governance, and strategic decision-making

Program and operational management

• oversight of program design, implementation, and monitoring
• cooperation with the Program Director to maintain program quality and impact
• leadership of programmatic and organizational development with the Program Director and Operational Director
• optimization of internal processes, talent, and technology
• oversight of financial management, compliance, risk management, and operational systems
• assurance of transparency and accountability

Вимоги

• commitment to educational equity, social impact, and the development of education at the school and national levels
• senior leadership experience, preferably as an executive director or senior manager in a growing impact-focused organization
• experience in building partnerships and securing major funding
• experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
• successful experience in strategic planning and organizational development in complex environments
• communication and advocacy skills
• fluency in Ukrainian and English

Will be an advantage

• advanced knowledge of education, public policy, public administration, international development, or a related field

Умови

• regular presence in Ukraine
• hybrid working format
• periodic travel within Ukraine and internationally for partner meetings, coordination forums, and training
